Right at Home Research & Qualification Process

Right at Home is all about helping people. This philosophy of helping others is woven throughout the culture of the company and it extends to the process that we utilize to help prospective franchisees learn about our business.

You’ll find that we take the time up front to get to know you as a person. We’d like to understand what you’ve accomplished so far in your life and how business ownership will help you reach your personal and business goals.

The process outlined below is designed to help get you the answers you need to help you decide whether Right at Home is a good fit for you and your family. As you assess us, we will simultaneously be assessing you. Throughout this process you can count on us to be honest and forthright and focused on making sure you have the information you need to make an informed decision about Right at Home. The process usually takes approximately 30-45 days. By following the 6-step process outlined below you’ll get the most information in the least amount of time and you will have all the information you need to make an informed decision about Right at Home.

• Step 1 – Initial Call

  As the title suggests, this is our first call together. On this call we talk about you, your background, your family, and your goals for business ownership. We also discuss the financial investment parameters with you, and verify that the territory you are interested in is still available.

• Step 2 – Right at Home Business Model Overview

  This is an in-depth discussion of how the typical Right at Home office operates. Topics such as marketing, human resources, payroll, management, and day-to-day operations are covered.

• Step 3 – Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) Review

  If you complete the first two steps in our process, this document will be sent to you via overnight and/or electronic delivery. In it you will find everything you need to know about Right at Home, including a Financial Performance Representation (FPR) that will provide you with a detailed summary of how our offices perform. There are typically two calls for this step – one to ensure you understand where to find everything, and another to answer any questions you may have about it.

• Step 4 – Validation

  This is one of the most important parts of the process because it’s where you get to speak directly with our Right at Home franchisees! There simply is no substitute for the knowledge and peace of mind gained in these conversations. You can ask the franchisees anything you want. Of course, their time is very valuable, so we protect their time by publishing a daily list of prospective franchisees who have reached this stage in the process. You must complete Steps 1 and 2 to be added to the list.

• Step 5 – Discovery Day

  After a preliminary phone interview with a member of our executive team, you may be invited to attend one of our Discovery Days in Omaha, Neb. During this day, you will meet one-on-one with key Right at Home team members who will be responsible for assisting you in the training, opening, and short and long-term support phases of your business.

• Step 6 – Approval and Agreement Execution

  This may seem like the end, but it is truly just the beginning! On the first business day following Discovery Day, you will be notified of your approval status. If both you and we decide to move forward together, we will guide you through the signing of your documents and immediately begin working through the pre-opening checklist.
